You are to create a 12 x 18 piece of artwork in color that uses image or symbols to represent a word.
1. Think of the word that you would like to illustrate.
2. Make a list of objects that could be used to form the letters.
3. Sketch lightly with pencil the letters, equally spacing each letter, or placing them on the paper in an interesting pattern.
4. Add the images over the letters that you have sketched.
5. Erase the original sketch and add detail and shading to the images where appropriate.
6. Using color pencils or markers, add color to your artwork, including the background.
