Photoshop Self-Portrait
This assignment you are going to create a project using images from the internet to represent you.
Step 1
Go to the internet and find a minimum of 7 images that represent you. You may ask the teacher, and s/he may or may not allow you to go to Facebook. Save images in your folder.
Have your profile picture taken in the hallway in front of the green wall.
Load your picture to your computer.
Open Adobe Photoshop.
Create a new project that is 4 inches Wide, by 6 inches Tall
150 pixels resolution. You will have to change the height and width from pixels to inches, but leave the resolution set for pixels. Open your profile picture and drag it onto the new project. You will need to resize you profile picture to fit the new size.
Use the magic wand to select the green background. Now use Select, select inverse, this will select the image of you, and press delete. this will leave you with the green outline. Use the paint bucket. Select a color that you would like for the background. The student used magenta in the sample. Use the paint bucket to fill the outline. Rename this layer outline. When you add your other pictures, you need to make sure this outline layer is always on top.
Open one of your other pictures. Drag this picture onto your project. Continue to do this until you have all of your pictures arranged in a way that shows good design. Make sure to put the outline layer on top.
